Yes. Southern Xinjiang can be visited throughout the year. Outside special seasonal highlights, most desert, oasis, cultural, and plateau landscapes remain relatively consistent compared with Northern Xinjiang.

The golden Poplar Forest season is usually strongest from 16 October to 5 November, when the desert forest turns warm yellow and gold.
